Where do you get your ideas from?
Sometimes artists know where they get their ideas from. I know how this nom com STARTED but then my inner muse took over.
The top panel and the little three square side panels are part of an Advent project that I did. While taking the photos, the weight of Loz kept pulling the tree down on top of Yazoo. Which at the time was increadibly frustrating and not at all funny. (snickers)
Sometime Later
I'm at the grocery store and see this incredibly mutated Christmas tree decoration.
Muse: Buy it.
Me: Why?
Muse: Put it in the basket.
Me - waiting in line: I do not need this, or even want it? Where would I even put it? Its ugly.
Me- to cashier: I've decided not to buy this.
A few days pass, and I'm back at the grocery store:
Muse: Get the tree get the tree.
Me: Why?
Muse: GET THE TREE!!
Me: Okay... FINE!
Next morning:
Me: OMG the mutant tree looks exactly like what would happen if the remnants tried to fix the tree using materia!!!
Muse: You are welcome.
Later
I go to work and one of my colleges who likes to decorate for Christmas as much as or perhaps even more than I do has brought in these little christmas rubber duckies. The white one with the blue toque and scarf was my favourite.
Mues: That is exactly like what Yazoo would look like if he was turned into a ducky.
Me: OMG OMG OMG
Me - to college: Can I borrow your duckies please please please please.
And then I sewed a little Frosty the Snowman hat and scarf for Kadaj... took some photos... and there you have it!
PS.
Note that Yazoo is holding the blue and silver ornaments which turn into the scarf, and that the red and gold ornaments are the only ones left on the ground near the tree, so the tree only has red and gold ornaments when it transforms. And Loz is holding the yellow materia so he's the only yellow duck

Kadaj isn't trapped in the lights for the tree. The lights are just very tangled.

LOL! This is kind of how my comics happen. "I'll take a picture of this doll to put online! Let me get her something to sit on. It looks weird without a background; let me put her in a room. Now she looks lonely. I'll give her some buds --- OMIGOD, IDEA!"
